Just 269 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Sunday evening, the lowest number since mid-December.
This brings the total number of cases in the Republic to 243,508.
Of the 269 new cases, 70% were under the age of 45 and the median age of those affected was 31.
One more death was also announced, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,836.
